Best known for his role as John Fitzgerald Byers, a member of the computer-hacking conspiracy-tracking trio The Lone Gunmen from “The X-Files,” Bruce Harwood has been working in Vancouver as an actor since 1987. After graduating with a Fine Arts Degree in theater from the University of British Columbia, Harwood soon found himself part of the burgeoning entertainment industry in Vancouver. His first role was in the television mini-series “EarthStar Voyager,” and since then he has appeared in the series “21 Jump Street,” “The Outer Limits,” and “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.” He also had a recurring role on the series “MacGyver” and in 1994 landed the recurring role of Byers on “The X-Files.” He also appeared in the feature film “The X-Files: Fight the Future.” Harwood lives in Vancouver.
