Trek Online Game Developing

Star Trek Online, a massively multiplayer online game, is in active development. Game developer Cryptic Studios Inc recently announced that it had secured the rights to develop and publish the game from CBS Consumer Products after the now-defunct Perpetual Entertainment canceled it plans for a similar game. Pirates MMORPG Coming this fall.

Walt Disney Internet Group will launch Pirates of the Caribbean Online, a new massively multiplayer online game based on the hit film franchise, this fall, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Quake 4 ready to invade Oct 18

Anarchy new expansion to be announced

Funcom will announce a new expansion for their popular (and my favorite!) mmorpg Anarchy Online on April 20. The last expansion, Alien Invasion, was released in September 2004. More than a million players have joined within the last years. Warner Brothers Interactive are pushing back the launch date of The Matrix Online from January to sometime in spring. They will use the additional time to expand its beta program and enhance the overall game experience. Atari classics now on Xbox and PS2

Atari released Atari Anthology on November 4. The $19.99 SRP game for XBox and PS2 features 85 classic Atari arcade and other video games. Atari Anthology includes Asteroids, Battlezone, Missile Command and Pong, as well as sports games and rare titles such as Casino, Tempest and Circus Atari. Atari Anthology also incorporates new "Challenge Modes," such as the psychedelic Trippy Mode, Time Warp and Double Speed and has a new 3-D interface. more

Godzilla to stomp on XBox and PS2

Atari announced that it will ship Godzilla: Save the Earth, a monster-on-monster online fighting game, for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox this month. Based on the classic film character from Toho Co. Ltd., Godzilla: Save the Earth faithfully recreates the look and feel of the character and follows up Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee.
