JK Rowling accused of plagiarizing again

JK Rowling has yet again been accused of plagiarizing Harry Potter. The English author and her publisher are being sued for 500 million pounds for allegedly copying Harry Potter from Adrian Jacob's 'Willy the Wizard'. Jacob's book is about a boy discovering his magical powers and was published in 1987, ten year before the JK Rowling's first Harry Potter book. Leaked Draft Delays final Twilight

Stephanie Meyer, author of the young-adult Twilight series of books, has put the fifth and final book on hold after a partial draft was leaked to the internet. Twilight tells the love story of a human teenager named Bella and her vampire lover, Edward. Meyer is holding back the final installment in protest of the leak. The draft - which was incomplete - was given to a few trusted people and Meyer does not believe their was malicious intent with the distribution. The much debated final book of the Harry Potter saga finally has a title. Author JK Rowlings has officially announed it will be...
(drumroll here) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
So my first question was, what the heck are "Hallows"????

Andre Norton passes

Science Fiction Grand Master Andre Norton died in her home in Tennessee on March 17 of cogestive heart failure. She was 93. The former Alice Mary Norton (who changed her name legally in 1934 to Andre) wrote more than 130 books in many genres. Her Witch World series included more than 30 novels. She will be cremated with a copy of her first and last novels. Norton, a former Florida resident I met years ago, was the first woman to be a recognized Grand Master by the SFWA. Sixth Potter book now finished

Author J.K. Rowling has completed the 6th Harry Potter adventure, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. She stated on her website that she's very happy with it and can't wait for everyone to read it. The book is due to hit stores July 16, 2005. more


Major Potter character to die

Author J.K Rowling has confirmed a rumor that at least one of the major characters of the famous series will not survive the next book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. No word on which character will die, but Rowling previously said Potter himself will be in all seven books, though his fate at the end of book 7, which Rowling has said will be the final in the series, is uncertain.
